In Christ We Stand
DaJoy Christian School serves 217 orphaned and vulnerable children in Lukaya, Uganda with holistic, Christ-centred education and a vision for sustainable livelihoods.
A place of hope, learning and Christian values in the heart of Lukaya
DaJoy Christian School was founded in 2019 by Mr. Daada Alex and Mrs. Namirembe Joyce, both of whom experienced vulnerable childhoods and felt called to give other children a better chance.
Located in Lukaya Town Council, Kalungu District โ an area with high HIV prevalence linked to commercial sex work โ the school currently enrols 217 learners, the majority of whom are orphans or children from extremely poor households.
Many of these children would otherwise have no access to education, nutrition or a safe learning environment. Our vision remains to provide quality holistic education grounded in Christian values while building a self-sustaining institution.
Building futures through education, faith and sustainability
Providing every child with a proper desk, qualified teachers, and a permanent campus so learning can flourish in dignity.
Nurturing body, mind and spirit through nutrition, Christian values, sports, prayer and a safe, loving environment.
Establishing a 10-acre commercial and instructional farm to feed the children and generate income, reducing long-term donor dependence.

Both founders experienced vulnerable childhoods and felt called by God to give other children a better chance at life. Since opening the school in 2019, they have grown it steadily to 217 learners while operating from rented premises with limited resources.
Their personal story of overcoming adversity continues to drive the mission: to offer quality education and spiritual guidance so that these children become intellectually upright and spiritually sound citizens.
We welcome visits, partnerships and prayers
